Garry Kirsten resigns from Pakistan's white ball Coach

Garry Kirsten who have been appointed by PCB for the white ball coach in April 2024 has been resigned who barely lasted six months in the roles.

 

The PCB has announced that Pakistan Red Ball coach Jason Gillespie will begin the role of white ball coach starting from Australia tour.

 
As reported by ESPN “There had been a rift developing between Pakistan’s newly appointed coaches, Kirsten and Gillespie, and the PCB since the board decided to strip them of selection powers, with that authority exclusively the preserve of a selection committee they would no longer be a part of. Gillespie had made little effort to conceal his surprise at the events in the build up to the third test in Rawalpindi against England, Saying he was now just a “match-day analyst” and that “it wasn’t what I signed up for”.
 
Although Garry Kirsten has not made any public statement but can understood to be disappointed with recent activity.
 
Garry Kirsten was not even present in the country at the time when Pakistan new White ball Captain Mohammad Rizwan name was announced at a press conference in Lahore.
 
Before this Pakistan had formed a new selection panel which is third in last three months, the new selection panel names, Aaqib, Aleem Dar, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq and Hassan Cheema.
 
Garry Kirsten’s first assignment was started from the T20 world cup in USA where Pakistan was eliminated early by facing defeats against USA and India after this Babar Azam was resigned from the captaincy twice in a couple of month.
