Virat Kohli completes 9000 test runs
Virat Kohli the run machine of Indian team has added another milestone to his book as he completes 9000 test runs and become 4th Indian to do so after Sachin Tendulkar Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar,
Before the start of the test match Virat Kohli was short of 53 runs to achieve this feat and he completed during his 70 runs knock in the 2nd innings against New Zealand at his IPL home venue M. Chinnaswamy Bengaluru.
He completed this in 197 innings of 116 test matches with an average of 48.74 and SR of 55.83, The highest score of his test career is 254 and smashed 29 centuries and 31 half centuries.
Virat Kohli undeterred from his first innings duck and bounced back in the 2nd innings as India is chasing down a 356 runs deficit in the ongoing test against New Zealand.
India bowled out for just 46 (their lowest total at home soil) runs out of which 4 batsman were faced duck including the history maker Virat Kohli in the first innings.
New Zealand posted a huge total of 402 which was anchored by Devon Conway (91) and Rachin Ravindra’s brilliant century.
In addition to this Virat Kohli also surpassed the record of MS Dhoni 535 international caps appearance, Virat Kohli is now only behind the great Sachin Tendulkar who stands with the mark of 664.
